Cooper Electric Adds Solar to Corporate Headquarters
Monroe, NJ – December 1,2017 – Cooper Electric's solar department teamed up with a local solar installer to install one megawatt, or 4,000- 260 watt solar modules, on the roof of their corporate headquarters in Monroe, NJ.
Joe Dudas, head of Cooper's solar department, spearheaded the project calling it an "outstanding success". He went on to say:
"This project stands as a prime example of how PV systems can efficiently and effectively be integrated into any commercial situation. Cooper was able to utilize existing inventory coupled with new technologies to create a showcase we can exhibit to new and existing customers and end users. Beyond the business and monetary benefits, this PV system shows Cooper's overall drive for the betterment of the local community and global environment."
The Jinko Maxim integrated solar modules, completed with Unirac's dual tilt ballasted racking system in addition to a mixture of central string inverters, will provide enough energy to offset roughly 60% of the 265,000 square foot buildings energy consumption.
Renewable resources such as solar provide monumental benefits. One megawatt of solar panels generates enough energy to power approximately 1540 homes and counter acts the CO2 emissions from 1,005 gallons of gasoline consumed!
