This SM902 Series SUPERPROX® Ultrasonic Dual Level Sensor is part of the Hyde Park Ultrasonic Sensors product range. These sensors are capable of detecting liquid, granular, or solid, regardless of color, shape, composition, transparency for powder, food products, grains, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oils, plastics, and objects that change colors. These features make it suited for food and beverage products, dry materials, pharmaceuticals, and water and sewage treatment. The sensor is a self contained, pulse-echo, dual-level sensing device that monitors within an operating range of 2in (50.8mm) to 3.28ft (1m) with a configurable sensing window. The response time is 150ms. The sensor accepts 12VDC to 24VDC power and the normally open output provides a discrete PNP/NPN output. It also has an LED to show active output and an LED to show setup and operational modes. It has a pump-in feature, which operates when the level moves past the far limit until the level moves below the near limit. The sensor is an M30 thread barrel sensor of ULTEM™ plastic with an M12 4-pin male connector. It is suitable for packaging, automotive, food and beverage processing applications. The sensor is compliant with CE and UL standards and NEMA 4X (indoor use only) and IP67 rated. The Hyde Park ultrasonic sensors operate in diffuse, reflex and thru beam modes. This range of sensors even includes long distance detection models.
