F Series safety switches provide significantly higher levels of mechanical endurance than NEMA Type KS-1 or UL98 standards require. The design life of a F-Series switch is a minimum of three times the NEMA requirement. An abundance of copper is used in the heaviest current carrying power paths of all Square D by Schneider Electric Heavy Duty Safety Switches. The more copper for current carrying paths, the lower the temperature rise. Managing temperatures inside the switch is the key to providing greater service life. This heavy duty Single Throw Safety Switch has a rated current of 600A and has a NEMA 1 degree of protection. This non-fusible disconnect has a short circuit rating of 200kA@600VAC. This safety switch has a steel enclosure and is surface mounted. This product os compatable with H or K, R, J or L fuses. The acceptable AWG gauge for this product is AWG 3/0 / 500 kcmil, copper or aluminiumand has a tightening torque of 375-375 lbf.in.
