The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection, without physical contact, of metal objects. This solid-state sensor is designed for position, displacement and deformation control/monitoring. The operating principle of this sensor is that of a damped oscillator. The degree of damping will depend on the distance of an object from the sensing face. The sensor will sense the distance and produce an output current with a value directly proportional to this distance. It is a diameter 30mm sensor with an 4mA to 20mA analogue output signal Two-wire, DC supply, 12V to 24V. It features a diameter 30mm cylindrical metal case and a 2m long cable. It has a sensing distance of 10mm.
