PowerPacT circuit breakers are designed to protect electrical systems from damage cause by overloads, short circuits, and ground faults. PowerPacT circuit breaker enclosures have a wide range of field installable accessories to allow customers to reduce inventory without sacrificing flexibility. This shunt trip unit for PowerPacT M- or P-Frame circuit breakers is one of the field installable accessories available. The shunt trip option allows tripping the circuit breaker from a remote location by means of a trip coil energized from a separate supply voltage circuit. When energized, the shunt trip instantaneously opens the circuit breaker. This shunt trip unit requires 24 to 30VDC supply voltage source. This accessory complies with UL standards.
