3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558 electrically connects a (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire and insulates the connection. It is flame retardant and features a maximum insulation O.D. diameter of 0.120 inches (3.05 mm), and an operating temperature of 221°F (105°C). It is designed for control circuit wiring, fixture wiring, appliance wiring, signal and PA systems or automotive/ boat/ RV wiring. The suggested application tool for the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558 is the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Crimping Tool E-9BM.
