3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558 electrically connects a (tap) wire end to a through (run) wire and insulates the connection. It is flame retardant and features a maximum insulation O.D. diameter of 0.120 inches (3.05 mm), and an operating temperature of 221.F (105.C). It is designed for control circuit wiring, fixture wiring, appliance wiring, signal and PA systems or automotive/ boat/ RV wiring. The suggested application tool for the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Electrical IDC 558 is the 3M™ Scotchlok™ Crimping Tool E-9BM.
