The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose plain cylindrical (6.5mm diameter) inductive proximity sensor is made of metal and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 2mm, it supports 1 normally open PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 2500Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25.C and +70.C, it is dustproof, resistant to water jets (IP65), and waterproof (IP67). It is made of metal. It measures 33mm (length) x 6.5mm (diameter). It is suitable for railway, mobile equipment, lifts and escalators, hoisting, material handling, machine tools, packaging, food and beverage industries, and robotics. This sensor is certified UL and CSA. The main advantage of the inductive detection offered by the sensors of the XS range is that there is no physical contact with the object to be detected.
