PowerPacT J-Frame automatic switches are a disconnect device and can be used to open and close a circuit under normal operating conditions. The automatic switches are similar in construction to, use the same accessories, and offer the same connection possibilities as the J-Frame circuit breaker version. The switches have a factory set, nonadjustable trip point calibrated to protect the molded case switch. The automatic switch can make and break its rated current. For an overload or a short circuit, it must be protected by an upstream device. PowerPacT J-Frame switches are available in unit mount, I-Line, plug-in, or drawout versions. This switch has lugs on both the line and load sides. This PowerPacT J, 250A, 3 pole, automatic switch has a short circuit withstand current rating of 18kA at 600VAC. This unit includes a control wire terminal on the line side. PowerPacT J automatic switches comply to UL, CSA, NMX, and IEC standards and are CE marked.
