The IRWIN MARATHON 7-1/4-in. 24-tooth carbide saw blade is designed for making rough cuts in thicker materials for framing, remodeling, and general construction. The alternating tooth design means every other tooth is ground 1/10th of a millimeter narrower so the blade cuts 20% faster than the original MARATHON blade design and makes it the fastest cutting blade ever. Constructed with a thin kerf, construction-grade carbide teeth, and a hardened plate, the blade requires 40% less effort than traditional saw blades and it is ideal for all-day use. Heat vents and expansion slots prevent the blade from warping and distorting for more accurate cuts over the life of the blade, while reinforced shoulders increase durability.
