This closure consists of a double shell designed to protect an organizer when the closure is filled with reenterable compound. Cable entry ports can be field trimmed for butt or inline splicing. Kit contains foam tape, funnel, double end caps (2), fill cap, hose clamps (4), closure bottom with spacer web, closure top with fill ports, snap-in caps (2), and protective shell 6" closure.A sealed inner protective shield provides added moisture protection and protects fiber from direct contact with encapsulant.

  • 3M™ Fiber Optic Splice Closure Kit includes a 2196 universal organizer bracket, 2522 splice organizer tray, shield connectors, ground braid or strap, 0.75-in DR tape and sheath scuff. The closure has a rigid outer body that offers mechanical protection and is filled with 4442 re-enterable, high gel encapsulant. The sealed, inner protective shell provides moisture protection and avoids direct encapsulant contact with exposed optical fibers. Cable entry ports can be field-trimmed for butt splicing.
