This VIRTU™ Ultrasonic Dual Level Sensor is part of the Hyde Park Ultrasonic Sensors product range. The sensor is resistant to dust, 100% humidity, most acids and bases, and high pressure wash-downs. It is virtually impervious to the effects of splashing food, caustic cleaning solutions, and changing light conditions or colors, making it ideal for many OEM applications and an array of packaging applications, including food and beverage. This ultrasonic sensor is a self contained, pulse-echo, sensing device that both transmits and receives sonic energy within an operating range of 2in (50.8mm) to 20in (508mm) with a configurable sensing window. The response time is 150ms. The sensor accepts 12VDC to 24VDC power and the normally open output provides a discrete PNP output along with an output state LED. It has a pump-out feature, which stops the pumping out process when the level moves past the far limit until the level moves below the near limit. The sensor is an M18 thread barrel sensor of PBT plastic with an M12 4-pin male quick disconnect. It is suitable for packaging, automotive, food and beverage processing applications. The sensor is compliant with CE and UL standards and NEMA 4X (indoor use only) and IP67 rated. The Hyde Park ultrasonic sensors operate in diffuse, reflex and thru beam modes. This range of sensors even includes long distance detection models.
