This SM906 Series SUPERPROX® Ultrasonic Analog Output Sensor is part of the Hyde Park Ultrasonic Sensors product range. This SM906 3.28ft (1m) sensing model is used to monitor and control liquid and solid levels in bins and fillers, roll diameters and speeds, variable speed motors and winding and unwinding equipment, and container flow on conveyors. The sensor is a self contained, pulse-echo device that both transmits and receives sonic energy within an operating range of 2in (50.8mm) to 3.28ft (1m) with a configurable sensing window. The response time is 500ms. The sensor accepts 15VDC to 24VDC power and has a direct proportional analog current output from 4mA to 20mA, increasing as the object or level approaches the near limit. It has LEDs to show analog output magnitude and object positioning. The sensor is an M30 thread barrel sensor of ULTEM™ plastic with an M12 4-pin male connector. The enclosure is made of ULTEM with silicone rubber front. Its dimensions are 96mm x (length) x 34.7mm (width) x 30mm x (height). It weighs 0.26kg. The sensor is compliant with CE and UL standards and NEMA 4X (indoor use only) and IP67 rated. It is suitable for packaging, automotive, food and beverage processing applications.
