The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This threaded cylindrical (M18) inductive proximity sensor is designed for food and beverage industries. It is made of stainless steel and it is non flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 12mm, it supports 1 normally open 2-wire discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 25Hz (AC voltage) / 1000Hz (DC voltage). It works in a temperature range of -25.C and +85.C, it is dustproof, waterproof (IP67), and withstands high pressure and steam cleaning (IP69K). It is made of stainless steel. It measures 70mm (length) x 18mm (diameter). This inductive proximity sensor is designed to be used in food and beverage industries. This sensor is certified UL, CSA, and CCC. The main advantage of the inductive detection offered by the sensors of the XS range is that there is no physical contact with the object to be detected.
